Bruce Myles

International Representative

Bruce A. Myles was re-elected unanimously at the 40th General Convention held in August 2021 to the position of International Representative. His areas of responsibility will continue to be Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and the Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC). Brother Myles was elected unanimously as an International Representative at the 39th General Convention in 2016.

In 2016, Brother Myles was re-elected as Business Manager of Local 325, Fredericton, NB, a post he held until assuming his duties as an International Representative, effective January 1, 2017. Brother Myles was originally elected Business Manager/Financial Secretary of Local 325 in 2010. He was also Vice President of Local 325 for several years, until 2008, when he was appointed to be a Business Agent/Organizer in the Fredericton area.

Brother Myles served four years as Vice President of the New Brunswick Pipe Trades and was President from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, he served as Vice President of the New Brunswick Building Trades. He served on committees that included the Standard for Excellence and as Chairman of the Negotiating Committee.

Brother Myles is a 20+ year member of the United Association. He was initiated into Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 325 in December 1999 as a journeyman welder. He is a second-generation member who spent his journeyman career working throughout Canada and the United States, from Fredericton to Albany, NY, and from Edmonton, AB, to Ontario. He served as Shop Steward several times throughout his years on the tools.
